Better Days Behavioral Health Services offers therapy for children, adults, couples, and families. We Work with clients to develop an individualized plan to address the needs of the client and family. We can then work on tools and skills to help in daily life.

Laura Janikowski, MSW, LCSW
Co-Founder
My name is Laura Janikowski and I’m the founder of Better Days Behavioral Health. I have been working with individuals and families for more than fifteen years. I graduated from Arizona State University with my Masters in Social Work. I specialize in mood disorders, anger management, anxiety and trauma. I am trained in and utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy, Sand Tray, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and EMDR. I work with children as young as 4, adolescents and adults. I love the resiliency of the human spirit and hope to help each client find tools that work for them. I am also an AZBBHE board approved clinical supervisor. I enjoy building relationships that support clinicians in professional development and ethical practice to meet their clients needs.
Jennifer Edwards, MC, NCC, LPC
Co-Founder
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and have been practicing for over 11 years. I have worked with children, adolescents and adults for over 20 years building on strengths and overcoming challenges. I work with individuals to address depression, anxiety, stress, trauma, grief and loss, behavioral and emotional disturbances as well as many other life challenges.
I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as well as other modalities which focus on reaching individual goals. Using what works best for each and every client we will develop a plan for success. Focusing on the client’s strengths and interests and using a variety of strategies, most clients find they are heard and are able to focus on their needs. Clients feel empowered when able to selectively guide their treatment.
In addition, I provide clinical oversight and training to our clinicians. Empowering other professionals to attain their professional goals and experience to continue to serve and heal our community.

I earned a Master of Science in Professional Counseling from Grand Canyon University. I am EMDR trained, trauma informed and use other modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT). I assist individuals of all backgrounds, from young adults to seniors. My passion is working with those suffering from trauma, anxiety, depression and grief. I am committed to treatment that supports each person in pursuing their goals while embracing their life values.
